Extelex is a single source provider of network and communications installation and support services.
The original company was founded in 2000 and has completed many major network roll-out projects.
These extend from survey, design and project management, through to delivery and installation of IT networks, wireless communications systems, fibre optic solutions for business and to the home, FTTH, CATV networks, telecommunications roll-outs, Satellite systems, IRS, Home entertainment, Hotels, NHS and Government communications roll-outs.
Extelex provides design, installation and management services in all the above.
Project management lies at the heart of most of Extelex’s activities.
We have developed our own project management ethos to make project management a key differentiator for our company.
Extelex has developed expertise in both the highly competitive world of structured cabling and wireless networks.
Our core business for many years was external network roll-outs including copper, coaxial (CATV and IRS) and specifically fibre optic projects. Most recently, we have become involved in fibre to the home (FTTH).
This comes since our successful network design and installation project installing 140,000 homes with Fibre to the Cabinet for Telewest (Now Virgin Media).
We also specialize in National Health and Government/Local Authority projects including being the major installation contractor for Hospedia (formally Patientline) for nearly 10 years, installing and maintaining various types of networks including copper, CATV, structured cabling and fibre optics to over 80,000 bed side positions
